What do people do on matariki.

Matariki food
On matariki celebration day which is a new maori
new year the maoris grow food like kumara,
sweet potatoes, tomatoes,  taro, hue and potato uwhi.
A hue is a bottle which is a plant but they make
it as a big bottle which they drink out of but they
cut the top of then clean it, add drawings on it and then they add the water. Maoris grow their plants in the farm or sometimes get their plants from the forest.Image result for maori water bottle uwhithis is a Potato uwhi maoris get from their garden.
